Parenting through Adversity

We had a great discussion at todays tea break chat about parenting through adversity. I spoke with Sheila Boland about her experience losing a child to cancer and how being in the present – with whatever emotion arises – really helps her. We talk about anger, what we mirror to children and how we can take responsibility for our emotions.

If you would like to be part of the group Parent Connections, click on this link here . Each week we will be discussing topics and holding mini workshops relating to parenting. As a counsellor & psychotherapist I will be sharing the experience gained from being with clients. I am also a Mum of 3, so also doing the work myself too.
