Thank you so much for deciding to join Bethan O’Riordan in her parenting community – The Calm Parenting Club. It’s a powerful community to support you in your parenting.
To bring our best selves to the group, it is important we share an understanding about how we will work together
What’s involved in the Calm Parenting Club:
HEARTBEAT APP
The Calm Parenting Club is hosted in an app away from the distractions of social media.
The weekly content within the app is carefully curated to encourage reflection, discussion and practical support and advise.
Members are invited to post in the main page of the app at anytime and members/Bethan will respond.
Bethan takes a digital detox every Sunday and for a week every 2 months. This means that she is not available to support members, but the community is still open.
Within the app is a library full of materials to help guide and inform you in your personal growth and parenting.
Bethan is always open to feedback and suggestions for growing the community and helping to meet you parenting an personal needs.
Bethan does not respond to private emails with questions for the community – if she receives any, she will gently encourage you to post them in the community app.
GROUP LIVE Q & A CALLS
Every week there is a live call with Bethan or another professional working in the field of families, children, teenagers and mental health. All therapists who join the community are registered and accredited. These sessions vary between day time and evening calls to suit members availability and most are recorded – the recording depends on maintaining confidentiality.
CANCELLATION
Members can cancel their subscription at any time using the log in details they entered when joining the community.
Members initially join with a free 7 day subscription – if the membership is cancelled within the 7 days then there is no fee. Please note that cancelling the Direct Debit instruction does not cancel the membership, it must be cancelled using the Heartbeat Log in details and going to your personal area to cancel.
All members who leave the community are encouraged to give feedback as this helps enrich and grow the community so that parents get the support and advise they need.
You are welcome to re-join the community at any time.
PAYMENT
Payment will be made at either a one-off cost of €35 per month or €350 for the annual membership.
All payments will be made through the hosting platform Heartbeat and Stripe.
The payments are non-refundable.
INVOICES
You will receive an invoice for each payment which is sent to your email
MISUNDERSTANDINGS
An important part of the working relationship is Bethan’s role in finding challenges and encouraging the client to push herself. If Bethan does or says anything that upsets you please do let her know. She wants to provide you with the support you need and believe that honesty and trust are critical for your relationship to grow. Bethan wants the Calm Parenting Club to be an open and safe place for you to come with confidence.
GUARANTEES
You recognise that Bethan will always have your best interests at heart and that with hard work and an open mind you can make life-changing strides in your goals. However, as with anything in life, there are no guarantees and your success is dependent upon your effort outside of the membership as well, so no guarantees are being made.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Child Protection will be maintained throughout this Membership – please read the Children’s First Guidelines (https://www.tusla.ie/uploads/content/Children_First_National_Guidance_2017.pdf) to familiarise yourself with them.
As part of Bethan’s Psychotherapist Accreditation, she is legally bound to attend supervision where she anonymously discusses clients presenting problems. This keeps both therapist and client safe and ensures best practice is always being met.
All materials are for your use only – if found to be in breach of this requirement by misuse of the content, legal remedy will be taken.
